Upcoming Minn-StF Events

If you're new to Minn-StF, you should know that our "meetings" are actually parties. The traditional start time for a Minn-StF meeting is 2pm so assume that start time if a time isn't listed here, but be warned that most people don't show up 'til 4pm or so unless the "meeting" is a picnic or pool party. We encourage people to bring snacks or drinks to share at the meetings, but that's not required and hosts will provide some food and drink.

Saturday, August 16th - Minn-StF & Minicon Meeting at the home of Matt & Kelly Strait (1631 Selby Ave #1 in Saint Paul). Minicon meeting starts at 2pm, the Minn-StF portion starts around 4pm (though Minn-StF members not on the Minicon committee are certainly welcome to show up for the Minicon part of things). For more details, see Matt's post in the mnstf Livejournal.

Saturday, September 6th - Minn-StF Meeting/Party at the home of Carol Kennedy & Jonathan Adams.

Saturday, September 20th - Minn-StF Meeting/Party at the home of Linda Lounsbury. With a Minn-StF Board meeting at 2pm.

September 17th - Deadline for pre-registrations for Convivial 3 (2008 Minn-StF Fallcon). Registration is available online, there's also info there on how to register by mail. Memberships are $35 in advance.

September 26th - Deadline for room reservations for Convivial 3 (2008 Minn-StF Fallcon). You can find out more on the hotel section of the Convivial website Rooms will run you $99/night or $124/night for a suite. Reservations may be made by calling the hotel directly at 952-854-9000 or toll-free at 1-800-465-4329. Be sure to mention you're with the "Convivial Conference".

October 17 - 19 - Convivial 3 (2008 Minn-StF Fallcon) at the Holiday Inn Select in Bloomington, Minnesota. For more information and to register, visit the Convivial 3 website.

November 15th - First Pre-registration deadline for Minicon 44. The prices go up after that. For details and to register, check out the Minicon 44 Registration page.

Saturday, December 6th - Minn-StF Meeting/Party and Minicon meeting at the home of Scott & Irene Raun.

Saturday, December 20th - Minn-StF Meeting/Party at the home of Dean Gahlon & Laura Krentz.

The current issue of Einblatt always has a list of events for the current month (even if we fall behind on updating this website). It also includes other events possibly of interest to Minn-StF members. Short notice events are sometimes posted to the events email list and/or to the mnstf Livejournal community.
