One of the Nonfiction nominees for the current Bram Stoker Awards is a book about Neil Gaiman (Hanging Out With The Dream King, by Joseph McCabe).
Lyda Morehouse's Apocalypse Array was given a "Special Citation" by the administrators of the Philip K. Dick Award.
"Winterfair Gifts" by Lois McMaster Bujold is a 2005 Hugo novella nominee.
Three local authors have essays in The Anthology At The End Of The Universe (ed. Glenn Yeffeth; BenBella Books tp, 2005): "The Secret Symbiosis: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Its Impact on Real Computer Science" by Bruce Bethke; "You Can't Go Home Again, Damn It! Even If Your Planet Hasn't Been Blown Up By Vogons," by Susan Sizemore; and "The Only Sane Man In The Universe" by Marguerite Krause.
