Publishing News:

Barth Anderson's second novel, The Magician and the Fool, is due in January 2008 from Bantam/Dell.

Alan De Niro also has a story, "Plight of the Sycophant," in the Bantam anthology Logorrhea, whose editor is John Klima (not "Kline," as we had it last time). De Niro's "Have You Any Wool," from Twenty Epics, will is reprinted in Space Opera, ed. Rich Horton (Prime tp).

Ex-local Carolyn Ives Gilman's "Okanoggan Falls" is reprinted in Science Fiction: The Best of 2007, ed. Rich Horton (Prime tp).

Neil Gaiman won two of this year's Locus Awards -- his Fragile Things for Best Collection, and "How to Talk to Girls at Parties," from Fragile Things, for Best Short Story.

Neil Gaiman's American Gods is #2 trade pb on the Barnes & Noble/B. Dalton bestseller list reported in the June Locus.
