Publishing News:

Ex-local Emma Bull's Territory was #3 on the April Locus bestseller list.

Lois McMaster Bujold's The Sharing Knife: Horizon was #2 hc on the April Locus bestseller list and The Sharing Knife: Passage was #5 pb.

Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book was #9 bestselling hc on the April Locus list; in the same issue he had the 1-2-3 top trade pbs on the Barnes and Noble/B. Dalton list (American Gods; Fragile Things; Stardust) and numbers 1 and 3 tp (Coraline; American Gods) on the Borders/Waldenbooks list.

Lois McMaster Bujold's The Sharing Knife: Horizon is #4 hardcover on the May Locus Bestseller list. Neil Gaiman's Coraline is #4 tp on the same list, and also #1 on the Borders/Waldenbooks tp list in the same issue; his American Gods is #5 tp on that Borders list.

Finalists for the 2009 Locus Awards include Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book (Young Adult Novel) and P. Craig Russell's Gaiman adaptation Coraline: The Graphic Novel (Nonfiction/Art Book), which is also a finalist for an Eisner (comics) award in the Teens/Tweens category.

Finalists for the 2008 Prometheus Awards (for Libertarian sf) include Falling Free by Lois McMaster Bujold (in the Hall of Fame category).

The 2002 spoof A Walking Tour Of The Shambles by Neil Gaiman and Gene Wolfe has been reissued by American Fantasy. Weird Tales for Nov/Dec 2008 contains an interview with Gaiman. Gaiman and ex-local Geri Sullivan are on a WorldCon committee to select an official logo for the Hugo Awards: logocontest@thehugoawards.com

Michael Merriam's short story, "Weaving Thread" will appear in the special YA edition of the dark fantasy webzine Drops of Crimson in June.
