Publishing News

2010 Locus Award short story nominees include "An Invocation of Incuriosity" by Neil Gaiman and "Spar" by Kij Johnson.

"The Real Martian Chronicles," a previously unknown John Sladek short story, appears in the May/June 2010 Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction.

Odd and the Frost Giants, written and read by Neil Gaiman, is a finalist for the Audic Award for best audiobook with narration by the author.

Thunderbirds: Deadly Danger by Joan Marie Verba won International Association of Media Tie-In Writers Award in "Best Young Adult (Original & Adapted)" category.

Iorich by ex-local Steven Brust was #2 hardcover on the April Locus bestsellers list. Several Neil Gaiman tps appeared on the Barnes and Noble/B. Dalton and the Borders/Walden lists in the same issue: American Gods (#1 BN, #3 BW); Neverwhere (#2 both); and Good Omens (with TPratchett; #1 BW).

Neil Gaiman's Odd and the Frost Giants is a finalist in the "Middle Reader" category for an Indies Choice Award from the American Booksellers Association.
