This is copied from Rune 70. It and three other meeting minutes in 1982 were all presented on one page in that issue, but I am breaking them up here for consistency with how we keep the minutes on the web. Only the final meeting is given an exact date. I don't actually know this one was in May, but it seems reasonable and makes it possible to name the files. At the end of this page, it says "((The reports on the first three meetings are based mainly on the official minutes, taken by Virginia Nelson, which are the sources of the quotations. The 4th-meeting report is based on my notes - J.Bartelt)" If we ever find the "official minutes", we will replace this file with them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The third meeting of the Board "was called to hear a presentation by Frank Sto- dolka and conduct other business." Frank proposed organizing a book sale to help un- and under-employed fans get to worldcon. "The Board decided that he did not need Minn-Stf Board approval as long as he doesn't use the name Minn-Stf." A member had asked to use the mailing permit for a personal mailing. "It was decided that this would set a bad precedent and could not be allowed as it might jeopardize our use of a mailing permit." There was discussion of the meeting schedule, return-add- ress rubber stamps, the button-makers, Minicon money, and the CPR training sessions. "There was some discussion about whether the editors of RUNE might be changed every other year to allow more people to participate. Nothing was decided, but various people will ask around to see if anyone would be interested in the job." The Board approved the Minicon Executive Committee of Don Bailey, Steve Bond, Reen Brust, Scott Imes and Caryl Wixon.
