This is a transcription of paper minutes done by Matt Strait in 2020. The intent was to transcribe exactly without corrections, however I may certainly have introduced new typos or inadvertently corrected some. Where I have noticed typos, I have marked them with "[sic]". All other text is verbatim. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Seventh Meeting of the 1982/1983 Minn-STF Board This meeting was held on November 22,1982 in the home of Judy Cilcain. Other board members present were Kate Worley, Don Bailey, Scott Imes and Karen Johnson. Minn-STF officers Dean Gahlon and Virginia Nelson were there, as was Dan Goodman who wanted to make a presentation. Dave Cargo was playing with his computer in the corner. Dan Goodman presented a plan by which the general Minn-STF membership could change the club by-laws. He suggested a petition of five or ten members followed by a vote at the next two Minn-STF meetings. The board had a number of coments [sic] on this plan, most amounting to "if it isn't broken then why fix it." Dean Gahlon, Minn-STF president, offered to mention the plan at the next general meeting in order to get a feel for how the club members felt about the plan. (at the next general Minn-STF meeting the plan was indeed put to a vote, the result was two in favor of it and at least twenty against.) The board did decide to make more of an effort to publicize board meetings. In other busines [sic], because so many members come to the Minn-STF New Year's Eve party who can't normally get to official Minn-STF meetings it was decided to declare the party an official function. Busines [sic] can be brought up, the information board and sign in book would be there and Steve Bond would recieve [sic] a small amount of money,($15.00) to off-set expenses. The next meeting was set for January 11, 1983. submitted by, Virginia Nelson. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
