The major item of business was a discussion of summer meeting dates and place. When presented with the alternatives: (a) keep meeting at 2-week intervals; (b) go to the traditional summer schedule of triweekly Saturday afternoon meetings alternating with weekday evening meetings approximately midway between th Saturday meetings; or (c) devise yet a third schedule; the members in attendance voted overwhelmingly to stick to tradition. This immediately let to the call for volunteers to host meetings, bringing forth an enthusiastic response, the results of which are noted above. The only other business was a series of announcements, including (besides a discussion of SF & Futurism, an autograph party at Uncle Hugo's, a Minicon 12 organization meeting, and a fund to send Fed Haskell a congratulatory tele- gram at BYOBCON -- all of which are already past and gone) the following: (1) There is a movement afoot to put a "MINNEAPOLIS in '73" ad in the MidAmeriCon Program book. It would cost $80. The Board of Directors will pay for half of it out of the treasury if the members can come up with the other half ($40) in individual contributions. Deadline w June 1, and the goal has almost been reached. Support the cause! Infect all of fandom with Minneapolis craziness! Donate what you can. See Jan Appelbaum, Treasurer. (2) Phil Voerding announced, "I have a frisbee on my head." The meeting was adjourned at 4:33 pm. ((Respectfully submitted by David Emerson, Presidentially Appointed Temporary Acting Secretary Pro Tem.)) ================================================================================
