These minutes were transcribed by Matt Strait in 2021. I did it manually; no OCR. Typos, if any, are marked with [sic] when noticed, and anything else in square brackets is also my note. Real underlining in the typed original is simulated by surrounding words with underscores. Otherwise, since the original is fixed-width, this rendition duplicates the original formatting very closely. ================================================================================ Minutes of Minn-STF Business Meeting of 16 May 1987 ["7" overtyped on "6"] (Appelbaum/Ringstrom home) It being noted that the Minn-STF President and Vice President had fled the country the day before, the only two officers present debated who would call the meeting. Recording Secretary Denny Lien lost and called meeting to order at 4:05 pm, banking a gavel with one [handwritten: "hand,"] shading his eyes while he peered around the room for slackers trying to hide with his other hand, and taking minutes with whatever was left over. Not site had been set for the 30 May 87 meeting. Anyone who wished to volunteer was given a chance. No one took up the chance. The problem was left as an exercise for the President upon his return from the fleshpots of Winnipeg. ((Said President subsequently exercised himself and arranged meeting at Adams/Kennedy home.)) Correction from previous minutes: It was Dean Gahlon, not Dan Goodman, who announced that his mother had just turned 73. (That is, that _Dean's_ mother had--I think.) It was suggested that Minn-STF-owned Stuff is currently in storage at various members' homes and that while many people know of much of it, nobody knows of all. Someone needs to conduct an inventory or serve as central reporting-to person. No volunteers (and, presumably, no rush.) Linda Lounsbury announced that she had strawberry plants for sale at the meeting, and Denny Lien announced that he had books for the same purpose. Terry A. Garey announced that she was doing the upcoming ((and now downgone)) EINBLATT for this month and that information should be ((should have been)) communicated to her. Minn-STF Board Meeting at Bailey/Bratton home on 21 May 1987 was announced. Mark Richards is [handwritten: "/was"] going to MidWestCon and seeks ((sought)) riders/drivers/roomsharers. Minicon meeting/log reading/barbecue/party/whatever else seems appropriate at Toad Hall on Sunday 31 May 87, starting at 2 p.m. You chance to grill bratwurst _and_ the ex- Minicon Committee in rapid succession and see which sputters more. Meeting adjounred [sic] at 4:15 pm.
