Confection________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Minnesota Science Fiction Society's 1989 Fall Convention Program Sheet (We certainly don't have enough for a book...) Welcome to Confection! The intention of the con committee is for you to have a GOOD TIME, in whatever way you know best. If you have any questions about how to accomplish this task, let us know, and we will assist you in any way we can. Firstly, a few notes: Guest of Honor: John M. Ford Other Guests: Cats Laughing, including Emma Bull Steven Brust Bill Colsher Adam Stemple Lojo Russo (only Chris Clairmont calls her Nikki Falcon) Joel Rosenberg (who is not a bicycle) Kara Dalkey and Will Shetterly Con Committee: Cat Ocel Scott Raun Victor Raymond and a host of others There! Now that we have that out of the way, let's go on to the other amenities we are offering. Confection is being held this year in that finest of mock-Tudor revivals, the Normandy Inn. We would've liked to include a map, but it seemed a little too..conventional (sorry about the pun). Suffice it to say that this convention will seem eerily like Corflu in layout, if you had been to Corflu, and merely spread out for those of you who hadn't. The Con Suite will be in Rooms 157 and 158 The Hucksters Room and Art Show The Continental Room (next to the bar) The Saturday Programming Room The Normandy Room (downstairs from the bar and to the right) Registration will be in the Continental Room, from 5pm until 8pm, Friday, and 9am to mid-afternoon, Saturday. We will need volunteers, for various convention functions, so if you would sign-up at regstration, we would be eternally grateful. Otherwise, we'll hunt you down and make you work. So line up, sign up, and go work another convention for old Science High. The chocolate was provided by the following companies: Maud Borup, Custom Chocolate, & Regina Candies. If you enjoy what you taste, please go and patronize thse fine chocolatiers. The Con Committee
