Annals of Decongestant, volume 5 A rough copy of which was typed up, yes on a typewriter, Sunday afternoon. ************************************************************************ Clay speaketh thus: Here's to another successful fallcon! "You can still buy minicon memberships!!!" By popular opinion, and voiced by Richard (gamesmaster), we should buy a new toaster, one that works, preferably with four slots. The one we have only heats on the outside, but it does go ding. We got one at-the-door member after the final newsletter (#3). Nico arrived after saying he wouldn't come and got a Sunday membership. That gets us up to 46 warm bodies, and 57 total members. News flash!!! Susan and Brian arrived at 4:22:07 precisely, bringing the warm body count up to 48. They were seen transferring living plants. We remain fairly baffled by the hecto master sheets. It is noted that the packaging says "thermal spirit master units". But they are sold as tattoo stencils, but we are using them for hecto. Jason says, "heck, I dunno." Matt advertises a potential reading of "At the sign of the Prancing Pony" from The Fellowship of the Ring, starting where he left off with Nora the last time, if Nora is interested. No enthusiasm detected. ************************************************************************ Does the average person see vaccine mandates or mask mandates as more onerous? I would have thought masks, but after a few conversations this weekend, I'm not sure. This is relevant for Minicon if I feel that one or the other by itself would be sufficient. ************************************************************************ Ceremonies were closed. We did two of the ceremonies from opening ceremonies backwards, but did not eat cake backwards, for obvious reasons. We did hold our left hands above our right hands and think about the definition of latitude. ************************************************************************
