Lyda Morehouse's Archangel Protocol won the "Maiden Voyage Award" (from Barnes and Noble) for debut sf/f novel of 2001. It's also a nominee for the Shamus Award for best pb private investigator novel of 2001 and is a finalist in the sf category for the Romantic Times "Reviewer's Choice Award."

Neil Gaiman's American Gods won the Bram Stoker Award for best novel of 2001

Hilary Moon Murphy short stories: "The Grand Cheat" TOTU 23; "Run of the Fiery Horse" Realms of Fantasy, June 2002 (cover story); "Nine-Fingered Maria," will appear in Mike Resnick's anthology, New Faces in Science Fiction, DAW, 2003.

Jerry Stearns & Great Northern Audio Theatre release another Great Northern Audio Double Header CD of silly science fiction stories. "The Velveteen Submission" tells of the adventures aboard a deep space light house as it is about to collide with a runaway star cruiser. & "Drummer's Dome" is the story of an old hippie who is building his dream home, a geodesic dome house, but finds that the inside of the dome isn't in the same place as the outside. Plus a bonus CD track, Available at Dreamhaven or Uncle Hugo's bookstores.

Neil Gaiman's audio play, "Snow Glass Apples", produced by the Sci-Fi Channel's Seeing Ear Theater, won a Gold Ogle Award for Best Fantasy Audio Production of 2001 (part of the Mark Time Awards), to be announced at Convergence, July 5th, and released this fall by Harper Collins Audio.
