On Wednesday, March 5, 2003 the MNSTF Board signed a contract to sell all backissues and lease the name Tales of the Unanticipated (TOTU) to TOTU Ink, Inc, a corporation formed to publish TOTU by its editor, Eric M. Steve Brust's The Paths of the Dead is #2 hardcover bestseller on March 2003 LOCUS list and #10 hc bestseller on the Barnes and Noble/B. Dalton list in same issue.

Steve Brust's Issola is #1 paperback bestseller on March LOCUS list.

Neil Gaiman's Coraline is #7 hc bestseller on March LOCUS list.

Neil Gaiman's American Gods is #10 pb bestseller on March LOCUS list and #4 pb bestseller on BookSense.com list in same issue.

Emma Bull has a column, "Past Lives," on RenFests and such, in the April 2003 Realms of Fantasy

The audiotape version of Neil Gaiman's Coraline won a "Cuffie" (children's booksellers) award from Publishers Weekly. Coraline also made the 2003 Best Books for Young Adults list from the Young Adult Library Services Association.

Lois McMaster Bujold's Diplomatic Immunity is a Romantic Times Book Club Award finalist in Best Science Fiction Novel class. Bujold also sold Italian translation rights to the novel. Bujold was named Author of the Year by Fictionwise.com (the eBooks Awards) and her The Vor Game was named eBook of the Year. Neil Gaiman sold Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish translation rights to Coraline.

Mirror Mask, with a script by Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean, is being made as a straight-to-video film for Jim Henson Pictures.
