Finalists for the 2004 Mythopoeic Award (Adult Literature category) include Paladin Of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold and Fudoki by ex-local Kij Johnson.

Tiptree Award "short list" (e.g. honorable mentions) this year includes Fudoki by Kij Johnson and "Lady of the Ice Garden" (from Firebirds) by another ex-local, Kara Dalkey.
