Ruth Berman has a poem, "Pocket Poltergeist," in the December Asimov's.

Also, Ruth Berman has sold English translations of 19th-century French author Charles Nodier's The Crumb Fairy and a collection of his shorter fantasy fiction, Trilby and Other Tales, to Sean Wallace, at Prime Books, a division of Wildside Books. Expected to come out mid-2005.

The 1954 Retro Hugo ballot (voted on this year) included five nominees by authors who were then Minnesota or recently ex-Minnesota residents: Theodore Cogswell ("The Wall Around the World"); Gordon R. Dickson ("The Adventure of the Misplaced Hound," co-authored by Poul Anderson); and three by Anderson alone ("Sam Hall, "Un-Man," and Three Hearts And Three Lions); none won.
