The reissue of Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett is #5 on the hc bestseller list for Barnes and Noble/B. Dalton and #8 on the list for Borders/Waldenbooks as reported in the July Locus

Locus Poll results (besides the winners reported last issue) include The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold (#4 Best Fantasy Novel); Singer Of Souls by Adam Stemple (#13 Best First Novel); and Hanging Out With The Dream King (by Joseph McCabe, about Neil Gaiman) #6 Best Non-Fiction book.

Pete Hauptman, sf novel Rash (Simon and Schuster hc), now out.

Two stories from the locally-published (Fedogan & Bremer) anthology Weird Shadows Over Innsmouth were reprinted in year's best collections: Brian Lumley's "The Taint" in The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror: 17th (ed Stephen Jones) and Michael Marshall Smith's "Fair Exchange" in Horror: The Best Of The Year -- 2006 (ed. Betancourt and Wallace).

Neil Gaiman's "Sunbird" is reprinted in Year's Best Fantasy 6 (ed. Hartwell & Cramer); in Fantasy: The Very Best Of 2005 (ed. Jonathan Strahan); and in Fantasy: The Best Of The Year - 2006 (ed. Rich Horton).

Local SF&F writer Michael Merriam sold his novelette "Melpomene Run" to Ray Gun Revival; his children's fantasy poem, "Where the Leftovers Go," to Beyond Centauri, an SF&F magazine for children; & paranormal romance novelette, "Stopping By," to appear in two parts in the September 2006 and December 2006 issues of Lyrica
