Neil Gaiman's story "Forbidden Brides..." has been reprinted in Exotic Gothic (Ash-Tree Press hc, 2008, ed. Daniel Olson)

Former local Kij Johnson's "The Evolution of Trickster Stories Among the Dogs of North Park After the Change" is a Nebula Award short story nominee.

Locus's "2007 Recommended Reading List" includes "Clockwise" by Barth] Anderson (short story); "The Witch's Headstone" by Neil Gaiman (novelette); and two works by ex-locals: Territory by Emma Bull (fantasy novel) and the Kij Johnson novelette cited above.

Dead Sexy by "Tate Hallaway" (Lyda Morehouse) has been reprinted in pb in the UK by Headline Review.

Locus Bestsellers list (February issue) includes Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman (#2 tp) and Dzur by ex-local Steven Brust (#8 pb). Fragile Things is also #4 tp on the Barnes & Noble/B. Dalton list in the same issue, and the Gaiman/Pratchett Good Omens is #8 pb on the Borders/Walden list. Fragile Things also made the NY Times Book Review bestseller list on 11 November at #32.
