Einblatt! October 2008

Calendar

Advance Warning

Minn-StF Halloween Party, Nov 1, Dreampark; Meeting, Nov 15, Betsy Lundsten's; New Year's Eve, Jonathan Adams & Carol Kennedy's; Pool Party, Feb 14.

Announcements:

Anyone want to volunteer to host the Minn-StF Pool Party on 14 Feb. '09? Please contact Lydia or any board member.

Dreamhaven will probably be no longer subsidizing the dead-tree Einblatt by paying postage. This runs about $900/year, and Minn-StF can't afford it. We are researching the possibility of another sponsor, but may be forced to go to a paid subscription model for (only!) the dead tree edition. If so, subscriptions would be approximately $10/year. Comments may be sent to board@mnstf.org or einblatt@mnstf.org.

SF novelist Donald Callander died July 26th. He was born in Minneapolis in 1930 and grew up in Duluth, but moved away long before his writing career began.

Dave Harsh died in Cleveland, GA on August 26th.
