Kij Johnson's "26 Monkeys, Also the Abyss" has been reprinted in the May/June 2010 issue of World Literature Today.

Michael Merriam sold a reprint of his short story "Jenny's Magic" to Hazard Cat.

Narrative Power ed. L. Timmel Duchamp (Aqueduct Press tp, 2010) includes essays by Eleanor Arnason, Alan DeNiro, and ex-local Carolyn Ives Gilman.

Neil Gaiman's American Gods was #4 trade pb on the May Locus bestseller list; Iorich by ex-local Steven Brust tied for #5 hc. Gaiman's American Gods and Good Omens (the latter with Terry Pratchett) were #2 and #4 tp on the Borders/Waldenbooks list in the same issue.

"Spar" by Kij Johnson won the Nebula for Best Short Story of 2009. Also, it was nominated for a Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award, but as she is an award juror she removed it from consideration.
