Booking a Room
Single or double occupancy rates are as follows - Regular rooms are $93 per night, suites (near the pool) are $123 per night, whirlpool rooms (very limited quantity) $123, deluxe (upper floors - nearer to the consuite) $113.
The cut off date for these rates will be a few weeks before the convention - March 15 March 23.
Parties will be located in the suites facing the pool. We anticipate parties will once again be on the third floor (with balconies facing the atrium).
For any desired room type, go to the DoubleTree Minicon group page and book a regular room. If you'd another type of room, after booking the regular room, do one or both of the following:
- If you’d like to host a party, please contact parties@minicon56.mnstf.org
- If you’d like a suite or an executive level room, please contact hotel@minicon56.mnstf.org
If you book your room on points or via a third party (Hotels.com, Trivago, Expedia, etc.) we cannot upgrade your room as rooms booked using those methods are not considered part of the room block. So please book directly with the hotel. Even if you don't need to upgrade, please book directly, because filling our room block is most of how we pay the hotel for Minicon!
We are in the process of determining how many rooms need to be set aside for Minicon (green room, teen room, parties, etc.). You may not hear that you have a non-regular room immediately, but someone should contact you within a week to let you know that your request was received.
Important information about the suites: Suites will be allocated by Minicon’s hotel department in a way that makes sense. In order to fulfill our arrangement to make noise in our space at night, we must fill the suites. Parties and Minicon functional rooms will have priority.
If you're flexible about reserving a suite (willing to take one, but also willing to take a regular room if the suite area fills), please let hotel@minicon56.mnstf.org know. Once the room block closes, we will be moving the rooms as described and then we will be able to let you know if you were upgraded.

Getting to the consuite on the 14th floor
If you don't have a hotel room, pick up a free key card from the con's registration desk which will tell the elevator to let you up. If you do have a hotel room, your room key will do this.
