This is a transcription done by Matt Strait in 2015. (I'm not entirely sure that these are board minutes, per se. They clearly record *some* of what happened at a board meeting, anyway.) I have approximately preserved the original formatting. I may certainly have made transcription errors or inadvertently corrected typos. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In their meeting of 23 Jan., 1976, the Board of Directors of the MINNESOTA SCIENCE FICTION SOCIETY, INC., passed the below-recited Resolutions and By-Law. The meeting was held at the residence of Director Ken Fletcher -- 341 E. 19th St., Minneapolis, MN 55404 -- and those present were all of the members of the Board: Ken Fletcher, Jerry Stearns, Margie Lessinger, Jan Appelbaum, and Don Bailey. Also present were Fred Haskell, editor of RUNE, and Don Blyly and Dave Wixon and Jim Young, representing the MINICON Executive Committee. The board directed the undersigned to act as secretary pro tem. The following By-Law was passed unanimously, and it is directed that it be published in the next Rune, as required by the MNSTF Constitution: The Minicon Committee is delegated the authority to contract for all reasonable convention expenses, and to pay for them out of Minicon monies. Extraordinary expenses of the Minicon must be examined and approved by the Board of Directors in advance. The following Resolutions were also passed unanimously by the Board. Their publication in the next RUNE is not required but is recommended. The Board of Directors directs the Minicon Committee to offer a free subscription to RUNE to all Minicon members, and resolves that one dollar ($1) will be allocated towards RUNE expenses for each such subscription given. The RUNE regular subscription rate shall be increased to two dollars ($2) per year, and the sample copy rate to fifty cents (50cent) per year, effective immediately. All previous subscriptions must be honored. Submitted 25 Jan., 1976, at 343 E. 19th St., Minneapolis. Dave Wixon
