At 8:42 PM on 29 April, 1976, the meeting was called to order by the Society's President, Denny Lien. Also present were all the members of the Board: M. Lessinger, K. Fletcher, J. Appelbaum, F. Haskell, and D. Wixon; and Ken Hoyme, the Vice-President. The secretary being absent, the undersigned was designated Secretary pro tem; the Board accepted the Secretary's report unanimously (5-0). The application of David Emerson for the position of RUNE editor was unanimously approved. The Board discussed the use by Garth Danielson of RUNE material in his fanzine; the consensus was that no action would be taken, except that Haskell would politely advise Danielson that it would have been nice if he had asked for permission first. The Board will drop the subsidy to Msfs meetings and substitute leftover Minicon supplies. 5-0 $85.00 was allocated to Haskell for RUNE 48; the remainder of monies due RUNE from Minicon receipts will be apportioned by issue. 4-0 (Haskell abstaining). The idea of placing a Minneapolis in '73 ad in the MAC Program Book was discussed. The Board determined to donate up to $40.00 of the cost if the remainder could be raised by private donation by Society members. 5-0. Two 12-packs of beer from the leftover Minicon supplies will be sent to BYOB-Con with Haskell as an honorary Mpls in '73 Party. 5-0. In view of the stated intent of a member of the editorial staff of NOCRES fanzine to publish material which in the Board's view may be libelous, the Board of Directors hereby revokes all connection with and control of NOCRES fanzine. If said or similar material is not published, NOCRES may re-apply for MINNESOTA SCIENCE FICTION SOCIETY, INC., sanction without prejudice. The above resolution was passed unanimously by the Board (5-0). Submitted this 7th day of May, 1976. David W. Wixon
