This is a transcription of paper minutes done by Matt Strait in 2020. The intent was to transcribe exactly without corrections, however I may certainly have introduced new typos or inadvertently corrected some. Where I have noticed typos, I have marked them with "[sic]". Other text inside square brackets are also added notes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Sixth meeting of the 1982/1983 Minn-STF Board This meeting was held on October 15 in the home of board member Judy Cilcain. Other board members present were Karen Johnson, Scott Imes and Don Bailey. Others present were Minn-STF officers Joel Halpren [sic: Halpern],Steve Brust and Virginia Nelson and Rune editor John Bartelt. The meeting started at 8:45. Joel Halpren [sic: Halpern] announced that the IDS checkbook has been re-located. Reen Brust had to resign from the Mini-con exec because of an unexpected doubling of her work load at home. She will be replace [sic] by Mark Richards. The Rune editors, John Bartelt and Garth Danielson, submitted their resignations from Rune. The board is accepting writen [sic] applications with operating proposals. Those who wish to be considered should have these in to a board member by Jan. 1,1983. An inventory will be taken to establish what kind and how much supplies are left over. It was proposed that instede [sic] of writing a new program for Mini-con we should just hand out the remaining stock of programs. This proposal(and the person who made it) is under consideration. Steve Brust brought in photographic contact sheets for the photo essay of building his guitar. As the Rune editors had just resigned there was no disision [sic] made, but as the cost will be around $50.00 he has been encouraged to approach the new editor(s) with the artical [sic]. [This whole paragraph is circled in pencil with the marginal note "NOT TRUE": 'Chuck Holst contacted one of the board members with the idea of throwing an especially large "Minneapolis in '73" party at the Baltimore World Con. He is willing to run it. The board decided that this will have to be handled by next year's board.'] Mark Richards handled the money for the "Minneapolis in '73" party at Chi-Con. The Blog when [sic] embaressingly [sic] fast. $75.00 had been allocated. Next years [sic] board may want to change things. The Minn-STF library has still not moved. Someone will be contacting Todd McEnroy to see if he still wants to take care of it or if a different course of action should be taken.
