Meeting to order 8:31pm. Agenda - Denise Correspondence Lee R Don Eric H Attending - Board = Jan Appelbaum, Don Bailey, David Cargo, Scott Imes, Gin Nelson + Joel H Mark Richards Eric Heideman Lee Reynolds Dean Gahlon Rob Ihinger July 29th 1985 2:00pm. = Denise Nelson court date Room 859 (Per call 7-29-85: Lynn Anderson will also be there to attempt to serve Denise) Don Bailey, Rick Gellman & Gin Nelson to attend. (Rick should get $20.00 & summons) Don passed around Rick's statement (generated yesterday) Don read a short summation of board's position Don presented summary of Karen Johnson & Don Bailey's lunch w/ Denise " " Jan. 29th 1985 board meeting notes (at which Rick presented board w/ problem) Board does not think Rob Ihinger needs to be present. Correspondence. - Letter about the tax exempt status from Phil Vincent. - Letter circulated. Gin Nelson suggested we think about things we should do/not do with respect to tax exempt status. Lee Reynolds - (Got Articles of Incorporation copy from Don.) Started to say she got the OK from Minicon Exec. to put together a Minicon manual. Gin interrupted her to remind her that she (Gin) had been working on a Minicon "Book of Precedents" for two months & would be happy to get help. Gin is not going to be putting a lot of time into this until after Worldcon. Lee said Eric Heideman & she will be submitting articles. Lee will work with Gin on this. Lee would like to arrange MnStf archives into usable order - where are they? (Some in Denny Lien & Terry Garey's garage, Joel has some financial records, some other places.) Don Bailey. What do we do with $? Don Bailey suggests we buy magazine subscriptions for hospitals. Don will try to find someone to help call hospitals & see if they want SF mag. subscription. Board agrees to appeal Denise's judgement if court does not award MnStf the full amount asked for David Cargo wants to discuss Einblatt at next meeting. Gin Nelson reports Fall convention is progressing apace. (Gin plans a going away party for herself on Aug. 12th?)
