These minutes had previously been available online in abbreviated form.  The
origin of the abbreviation is lost in the mists of time.  First, we display the
abbreviated version.  Following this (marked by a line of dashes; the line of
asterisks is in the original) is a manual transcription of paper minutes done
in 2020, which has slightly more detail.  Errors in the original are lovingly
preserved and marked with notes in square brackets.

May 3, 1989

TAXES: An exemption certificate will save money by exempting the club from
paying use and sales tax. The certificate will be applied for.

EDITORS: The editors of _Einblatt_, _TotU_, _Rune_ and the Hotline were
disgusted -- I mean, discussed. (Psst, psst, pssst...)

BOOK: Hey, gang, let's put out a poetry anthology! How about a bibliographic
reference? Stay tuned for further developments.

LIBRARY: A Klub Keeper of the Books is Needed. Really. You?

AIR CLEANERS: Paid for.

HAIR-BRAINED IDEA: Split up Minicon? How, who, etc.

VANDALISM: It was decided to publish reports and seek assistance from
congoers, those fun fen who care enough to Keep It Clean.

VANDALISM AND ALCOHOLISM: The Board plans to attend the Minicon meeting
scheduled to cover this troublesome combination.

Meeting called to order at 7:50 PM.

Taxes:
Rob found we do not need to pay use and sales tax if we apply for exemption certificate.
A decision was made to go ahead and apply for this.

Editors:
There was a discussion of editors of Einblatt, TOTU, Rune, and Hotline.

Book:
There may be a proposal for a book - a poetry anthology.
An idea was presented for a bibliographic reference.

Library:
Minn-STF received a letter form John Lawyer of Arlington, Virginia.  Would we be interested
in thirty years of ANALOG?  We will take the offer if possible.

Librarian:
No volunteers have presented themselves .  It will be published for another month.

Aircleaner:
The check was filled out and given to Rob.

Hair-brained idea:
The idea of splitting the convention was presented and a discussion ensued of people,
name, when, and labor.

Vandalism:
Vandalism was discussed and a decision was reached to publish the vandalism and ask
for help from the conventoin [sic] goers.

Vandalism and alcohol:
It was thought that there was a Minicon meeting schedlued [sic] to cover this.  Make sure
the Board attends.

June 13,1989 - 7:30 PM at Karen Johnson home.
