Minn-STF Board of Directors - - minutes - - meeting of January 11, 1990 at the Elise
Krueger home.

Meeting called to order at 8:00 PM.

Agenda:  Funding for a photo documentary at Minicon
         Funding for an extra MNSTF meeting/Pool party 1-20-90

Karen Trigo:
Karen Trigo died January 11, 1990 at St. Marys'.  There should be an obit written for
Einblatt.  Suggested memorial is a book tape to be given to St Marys'.  The Board
approved $15 for this.  Elise is to get a science fiction or fantasy book(unabridged).
Garth must be talked to for his input.

TOTU:  Eric reporting
On the subject of a sales manager:  Want that kept as a volunteer position not paid.
Theoretically the subsidy should decrease over time.
If there is a need to increase the cover price the Board doesn't object.
Elise volunteered to be the TOTU advertising manager when and if she is not on the
Board.The Board approved $1000 for the next issue (#8) and permission to extend the
issues' publication nine months.

Funding for the pool party:"
Scheduled on a non MNSTF weekend.  Normally #40 is spent.  The Board approved $100.

Funding for the Photo documentary at Minicon:
Proposition 1 - film, process and copies for MNSTF - slides
Proposition 2 - prints, lab and up on bulletin board at convention
For slides the estimated cost is $10 per roll and there will be from 15 to 40 rolls.
The bottom line is $150 to $400 plus $125 in duplicating costs.  A name was come up
with"Minicon the Silver Nitrate Edition"
It is recommended asking the photographers to keep duplicates and turn over the
originals. 
The Board approved $250 for this project.
