Taxes - Dean cerimoniously signs the forms!!! - Dean will put in the mail to IRS. (And hence they are filed! Huzzah!) - Dean will get file copy to Linda before leaving town. - Dean will make more file copies. Aussiecon Party - Don says function room rental will be ~$600US, so they are looking at alternative. - Sharing private room with Auld-Lang Fund. - Board approves expenses of up to $350 (US). Copy Printer - (Jeff will be here soon.) - Geri asks for $35 for supporting supplies (surge suppressor, trash can, ...) - CP is now installed at Dreamhaven. - 90 warranty started. Service contract starts after 90 days. - Jeff is working on prices for chargebacks. Postage (Stamps.com) (Scott Raun) - Would trim work for printing and mailing of Einblatt in place. - Prints magic postal "bar" codes on envelope using your printer and internet connection. - (Considerations of possibly using copy printer as an alternative. How does it affect label application (now printed), and stamping work load?) - Scott has already bought stamps for Sept., Oct., Nov. - This is a heads up information for the board. We'll bring it up again later. Hotline - Elizabeth Bendtsen has _not_ resigned (contrary to earlier report). - She is frustrated with not being able to get information. - People are leaving abusive messages on the machine about their dissatisfaction. - Suggestion that recording is redone more often, even if new information is not available. - Polly will be talking with Elizabeth. Minicon Hotel - Sign and return ready for renegotiated room blocks - New amounts based on actual usage. - We give up the comp'ed Refrigerator (now we pay and deal with...) If You Took a Weasel... (as sung by Martin) Wall Of Books at the University of Minnesota - Don (Uncle's) gave us a 20% discount, Polly bought $78 worth of books. - [Polly has a list.] - Greg (Dreamhaven) gave us some to submit to the Wall. - Today is Alfred Hitchcock's 100th Birthday.
