The meeting was called to order by Treasurer Jan Appelbaum at 3:05 PM. Appelbaum announced that the Board of Directors had authorized placement of a Minneapolis in '73 ad in the MidAmeriCon Program Book if the sum of $40.00, or more, were raised by donations by the members; the Board had resolved to make up the difference between the sum raised and the $80.00 cost, if the sum raised reached at least half of the price. No vote was taken on the question, but no objection was raised by anyone, and a number of people began to indicate support with their money. The names of the donors will be kept, so that money (and names) may be returned if the project goes blooey. The appointment of David Emerson as next editor of RUNE was announced. His sentence will begin with RUNE 49. Announcement was also made that there would be a meeting for all those interested in working on or with or for or in the vicinity of Minicon 12, said meeting to be held at 5:29 PM on 22 May 79, at the apartment of Scott Imes (in the Bozo Bus Bldg.). An impassioned plea for suckers willing to donate of their time and labor was made by a number of people who are interested in doing less next year; no one was visibly moved except the speaker. The meeting was adjourned at 3:10 PM. It seemed longer. The undersigned managed to take a few notes in between impassioned pleas, and decided to nominated himself as Secretary pro tem, since he's been doing that a lot anyway lately, and besides the Secretary wasn't there. If anyone else turns in better minutes, I'm willing to take these back if I don't have to pay the postage. (Please, no form rejection slip!) Submitted, submissively, on 10 May 1976, in the BBB.
