These minutes were transcribed by Matt Strait in 2021. I did it manually; no OCR. Typos, if any, are marked with [sic] when noticed, and anything else in square brackets is also my note. Real underlining in the typed original is simulated by surrounding words with underscores. Otherwise, since the original is fixed-width, this rendition duplicates the original formatting very closely. ================================================================================ Minutes of Minn-STF Business Meeting of 30 May 1987 (at Adams/Kennedy residence) According to rumor and recent tradition, the business meeting would have been called to order at around 4 pm by Madame President David Cummer. Recording Secretary Denny Lien can not speak to this from personal knowledge, having at the time been off at a moving party. The gentlefen of leisure who forego the opportunity to carry heavy burdens onto trucks were presumably punished by having to carry heavy burdens of guilt instead: one of them, David Cummer himself, offered partial atonement by taking sketchy secretarial notes for the meeting as well as running it, thus continuing a new Minn-STF tradition. The other fen present atoned by sitting through the business meeting, except presumably for those who did not. Cummer's notes indicate the following, slightly expanded: Next meeting is 13 June at Joel Halpern's; this is also collection for Stipple-Apa 58. Fourth Street Fantasy Con to be held Jun 19-21 at the Holdiay [sic] Inn in dowtown [sic] Minneapolis; 30 May was last day to pre-register at lower rates. (Well, lower than some things.) Location needed for 27 June Minn-STF meeting; 11 July meeting at Gerri Balter/Herman Schouten's. Minn-STF Library Work Parties planned: call Margo Bratton/Don Bailey for information. The Minn-STF Board is meeting 4 June at 7:30 pm at Huddling Place (Denny Lien/Terry Garey's). Ladies' Sewing Circle and Terrorist Society meeting 14 June, also at Huddling Place (Terry Garey/Denny Lien's). End of Cummer's notes and extrapolations therefrom. Presumably the meeting eventually adjourned.
