Minn-StF has resurrected the Quartermaster position, and trying to generate a list of everything we own. Joel Phillips has accepted the position, and will be organizing an inventory of the storage locker. If you have any items owned by Minn-StF in your possession, please let Joel know at the e-mail address quartermaster@mnstf.org.

Publishing News

"Out of This World: Queer Speculative Fiction Stories" by Catherine Lundoff was the first release from new local publisher Queen of Swords Press (Released 1/2/17).

Eleanor Arnason's Hwarhath Stories is a 2017 Philip K. Dick Award nominee. She also has a new story, "Checkerboard Planet," in the December Clarkesworld.

Ruth Berman and Terry A. Garey are two of this year's four Grandmaster nominees to be voted on by members of the Science Fiction Poetry Association.

Andre Bertke won a 2016 (GLBT) "Community Award," voted on by readers of Lavender magazine; he was profiled in the Dec 8-21 issue.

Neil Gaiman's American Gods: The Tenth Anniversary Edition was #1 pb on the January Locus bestsellers list, and #10 on the Barnes & Noble list in the same issue. Gaiman also has a poem, "The Long Run," in the Nov/Dec Uncanny Magazine.

Terry Gilliam is one of the 2016 inductess to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.

Marissa Lingen has a story, "Drifting Like Leaves, Falling Like Acorns" in the Jan/Feb 2017 Analog.
