Minicon 50 Weekend Schedule
When everything is happening.
This is our best guess at the schedule ahead of the con and is subject to change. Once you are at the con, it would be better to consult the program book, pocket program and Bozo Bus Tribune for up to date information. If we are very very organized, we will post at least the pocket program on this site.
Schedule Overview
Minicon 50 is a full 4-day con, plus a substantial amount of spill-over into the adjacent days. Compared to the usual 3-day Minicons, most things you expect on Friday are instead on Thursday, etc.
- Tuesday, March 31

- Work party in the evening at Jonathan Adam & Carol Kennedy's house, 3328 Colfax Ave S, Minneapolis, starting at 6pm. Open to anyone willing to help out.
- Wednesday, April 1

- Move-in
- Badge pickup for pre-registered members once setup is complete
- Open gaming and open music once setup is complete
- Thursday, April 2

- Registration open 10am-10pm
- Consuite opens at 10am and stays open 24h through closing ceremonies, provided sufficient volunteers
- Rumpus room (the site of children's programming) has activities 4-6:30pm
- Panel discussions run 3:30-11:30pm, with opening ceremonies at 8pm (this is a change from the previously-advertised time)
- Bar opens at 5pm
- Art show, dealers room and science room: 3-7pm
- Organized gaming 5pm-midnight; open gaming 24h
- Films in the evening
- Room parties in the evening
- Friday, April 3

- Registration open 9:30am-8pm
- Consuite open 24h, provided sufficient volunteers
- Rumpus room (the site of children's programming) has activities 10am-6:30pm
- Panel discussions and readings run 10am-9:30pm
- Bar opens at 5pm
- Art show, dealers room and science room: 10am-7pm, plus art reception at 6pm
- Open and organized gaming all day
- Films in the afternoon and perhaps the evening
- Cats Laughing concert: doors open 8pm
- Room parties in the evening
- Saturday, April 4

- Registration open 9:30am-8pm
- Consuite open 24h, provided sufficient volunteers
- Rumpus room (the site of children's programming) has activities 10am-6:30pm
- Panel discussions and readings run 10am-11pm
- Bar opens at 5pm
- Art show, dealers room and science room: 10am-7pm, with voice art auction at 6:30pm
- Costume Revel at 7pm
- Open and organized gaming all day
- Concerts in the afternoon and evening
- Films in the afternoon and evening
- Room parties in the evening
- Sunday, April 5

- Registration open 9:30am-4pm
- Consuite open through 4pm
- Rumpus room (the site of children's programming) has activities 10am-4pm
- Panel discussions and readings run 10am-4pm
- Art show, dealers room and science room: 10am-4pm
- Bar opens for the Dead Dog Party after closing ceremonies and you all help us move most of the con out
- Organized gaming 10am-2pm; open gaming 24h
- Films in the afternoon
